SURFACE LANGUAGE

A broad silver band ring encircled by a continuous inscription of deeply engraved script, its letterforms flowing and cursive with a calligraphic discipline that suggests Tengwar or fantasy-inspired constructed language. The engraving has been deliberately oxidized to a near-black tone, creating maximum legibility against the brushed silver ground. The band maintains a substantial width throughout, its edges gently rounded from sustained wear. The interior surface shows the ghosted accumulation of skin oils and oxidation that only decades of contact can produce. This is a text-object, a wearable manuscript that carries its message in a language only the initiated can decode.
