SURFACE LANGUAGE

Black leather backless mule on a slim stiletto heel. Two wide straps cross the vamp: the upper strap runs narrow and sits close to the ankle, the lower strap is broader and carries a large rectangular silver-tone buckle at the outer side. Both straps are studded with evenly spaced silver grommets running their full length. Pointed toe, pulled to a fine blade tip. The leather has been worn well into its second life: creasing across the toe box, light surface breakdown on the strap backs, and significant wear to the insole lining. The buckle hardware shows faint oxidation. Slim black blade heel. No back counter, no lining at the heel opening.
