A graduated silver bead necklace originating from the Balochi silversmithing tradition of Afghanistan. The front-facing statement beads are hollow, press-formed spheres with deep longitudinal ribbing separated by fine applied granulation wire running parallel to each flute. Surface oxidation has settled darkest into the grooves, producing a pronounced tonal contrast against the raised ribs, which retain a worn, muted polish. Flat disc spacers separate each bead, showing tool marks and light surface pitting consistent with age. Smaller beads at the upper strand shift form entirely: squat, lobed globes with beaded collar rings at each equator, more densely cast, heavier in proportion. Patina throughout reads a uniform dark bronze-brown.
