Ethiopian Coptic cross pendant in cast brass or low-grade silver alloy, presenting a warm golden-bronze patina across the face with darker oxidation settled into recessed areas. The front surface carries dense hand-engraved linear hatching within a latticed openwork field, producing a diamond grid that reads as textile-like from a distance. Four terminal lobes terminate in stippled roundels, each bearing an incised cross motif surrounded by punched dot borders. The pointed lower finial holds a secondary engraved cross within a dotted cartouche. The reverse is undecorated, showing visible surface scratching and matte wear consistent with age and handling. This form descends from Ethiopian Orthodox metalworking traditions, where pendant crosses functioned as devotional objects worn by clergy and laity alike. The suspension loop is integrated, rounded, worn smooth at the apex. Chain is blackened steel in a fine rope-twist pattern, fitted with a small lobster clasp.
