Solid silver cross pendant, proportions squared and blunt. Arms terminate in rounded, pillow-like edges. Surface carries a matte, bone-white patina consistent with age and handling. Fine surface scratching distributed across all four arms. The reverse face bears incised decoration at the intersection: an X-form cross scored within a square, flanked by single vertical cuts on the upper and lower arms. This shallow engraving reads as a secondary cross, a compositional device common in Ethiopian Coptic devotional metalwork, where layered cross forms carry liturgical weight. The bale is a smooth, domed loop soldered at the crown. Oxidation collects in recessed areas. The cord is a tightly braided dark brown leather or waxed fibre, terminating at both ends in cylindrical silver crimp caps. Closure is a lobster claw clasp with visible surface texture and age patina. An oval stamped tag reads AUSTRALIA, suggesting provenance or a point of retail acquisition.
