OBJECT STUDY

A graduated arc of hammered beads swells from tight orbs at the clasp toward a single unblemished sphere at the throat's lowest curve. Oxidized to a deep pewter-grey, the surface shifts between dull tarnish and faint polished sheen—evidence of handling worn unevenly across a symmetry now softened.

CONSTRUCTION DETAILS

Cast in brass, the beads carry a weight and warmth belied by their grey-toned patina, some catching light where cloth or skin has burnished them bright, others retreating into matte shadow. The silhouette follows a lunar procession: small spheres flanking a commanding central orb, round and unadorned, anchoring the composition. A dark cord threads the beads in quiet contrast to the metalwork's density. Wear has loosened the original symmetry, cracking surfaces and softening edges once crisp with hammerwork.
