MER-LASETTE Mer-Kassettcte "Real Clothes" — a Japanese label operating in the early 2000s premium denim sector. This pair exhibits a heavily textured denim with pronounced vertical streaking across the entire face, achieving a wood-grain or crinkled paper quality distinct from standard warp fading. Sand-yellow mineral deposits accumulate at the thighs and seat, contrasting against the mid-blue base. The flare construction is engineered through exposed raw-edge gusset insertions at the lower leg — two horizontal seams bracket an additional denim panel, stitched with amber thread left deliberately unfinished at the outer seams. Hem is blown out, fraying visibly on both legs. Tan leather patch at center back waistband reads "Mer-Kassettcte / Real Clothes" with a reversed-R logo motif. Single copper-toned button closure at front.
