Bernard Chandran, 2011 archive — the couture-to-wear period where the designer's sculptural tailoring language started filtering down into ready-to-wear through the Area 27 / BC Beach Culture line. 2011 is the year the RTW extension of his practice took structural shape, and this cardigan comes from that foundational moment rather than from current season production.

Cut close through the body at 96cm chest, 64cm length, full 62cm sleeve. The proportions translate the couture house's instinct for shape into a softer draped construction. Pieces from the 2011 archive are not held in second-hand circulation outside Kuala Lumpur and a narrow slice of regional collectors, which gives the provenance real positional weight in an archive catalogue.
