SURFACE LANGUAGE

A light indigo chassis subjected to heavy wash erosion and controlled structural damage across the entire front surface. The waistband shows concentrated fraying and thread loss along its upper edge. Multiple blowout points puncture both legs: the right thigh features a large repaired aperture exposing a pink plaid underlayer secured with hot-pink zigzag stitching, while the left thigh carries smaller unrepaired punctures with surrounding wash abrasion.

The silhouette expands from a fitted hip into a dramatic flare below the knee, terminating in heavily frayed, unhemmed edges. The light wash base creates a near-white field at the high-stress zones, contrasting against the surviving mid-blue at the seams and rear. Copper-toned rivets reinforce the 5-pocket openings. This artifact reads as a maximalist intervention on a classic canvas, every surface bearing evidence of deliberate distress protocols.
