SURFACE LANGUAGE

A deconstructed black blazer chassis that operates at the intersection of tailored form and deliberate undoing. The shell is built from a deep black wool-blend substrate, its edges left intentionally raw and unfinished — the hem exposes a ghost line of white interfacing beneath, while the cuffs terminate in frayed, unbound fibers. White contrast stitching traces the lapel edges, front placket, and pocket outlines like surgical sutures against the dark field, creating a stark binary visual rhythm. The right chest is disrupted by a diagonal burlap strap secured with visible X-stitch hardware in dark thread, anchoring a large sculptural flower appliqué composed of layered white, cream, and natural-toned fabric petals. Three black buttons close the front in a vertical column. The silhouette is longline and oversized, falling past the hip with a boxy, architectural drape.
