    SURFACE LANGUAGE

    A black tailored waistcoat with a pronounced notched lapel and a sharp, pointed V-shaped hem. The front closes with five mismatched buttons in varying sizes and finishes — matte black, metal-rimmed and tonal. Large fabric flower appliqués in cream, beige, black and white are placed asymmetrically across the body, mixed with lace strips and frayed tulle trails. The fit is nipped at the waist and flares toward the pointed front.
