Shellac Semantic Design — a Japanese label operating at the intersection of structural knitwear and architectural drape — presents this open-front cardigan in ash-taupe. The pleating is total: fine, vertical compression runs uninterrupted from shawl collar to dropped hem, interrupted only at the shoulder seams where the pleat direction shifts diagonally, mapping the body's geometry beneath. The shawl collar gathers at center-back into a dense herringbone-like ruche, collapsing inward as though the fabric remembers a previous form. No closures. No hardware. The silhouette falls wide from the shoulder, the hem splaying open at the front with mild flare. Pleat behavior at the cuffs tightens, functioning as a soft ribbed finish without additional banding.
