A long cord falls in a quiet parabola before delivering its weight: a closed horn-form pendant, curled inward like a question mark folding back on itself. Between its blunted points, an open eye of negative space grants the piece an amuletic, almost zoomorphic presence.
Cast in silver alloy, the pendant carries the soft ivory-grey of metal long receded from its brighter state, its surface broken by darker passages of oxidation and the chipped, worn markings of age. The cord is matte, waxed, and coolly textural, meeting the horn's open ends and secured by tight coils of wrapped thread terminating in small frayed tassels. There is no clasp; the closure is a sliding knot, hardware reduced to its most honest, functional form.
Grade C — extreme wear and chipped markings from age
