FOOTWEAR FOUNDATION

An anonymous footwear artifact built on an exaggerated, brutalist foundation. This piece corrupts the traditional, delicate Mary-Jane silhouette by fusing it with heavy military-grade elevation. It physically forces a dominant, towering posture upon the wearer.

The shoe features a dark brown leather upper, aged and creased from use, structured into a rounded square-toe chassis with an elasticated band at the toe. The defining element is the voluminous raw-edge frayed ribbon — a burlap-like textile tied in a deconstructed bow across the vamp, introducing deliberate chaos to the upper. A low stacked block heel grounds the silhouette with quiet authority.
