SURFACE LANGUAGE

A substantial saddle-form ring with a pronounced domed face that rises in a smooth bombe profile from the tapered band. The surface is worked with a visible hammered and hand-forged texture, fine pitting and strike marks covering the dome and shoulders like geological strata. The patina is warm and variegated, reading as aged pewter or tarnished silver with darker oxidation settled into the textural low points. The interior is hollowed and smoothly finished for wearability, the substantial outer mass creating a bold silhouette on the finger. The dome is unadorned, its power residing purely in the volume and surface character of the metal itself, a monolithic form distilled to essential mass and curve.
