OBJECT STUDY

Represent Represent Clothing — founded 2012 in Manchester by brothers George and Mike Heaton — issued this jean under their 93 Racing Club sub-label, visible on the interior woven tag alongside a Union Jack flag motif. The base cloth is mid-weight grey denim, stone-washed to an uneven ash tone that reads darker at the outseams and lighter across the thighs. Distressing is scattered and non-symmetrical: irregular bleach-scatter marks ranging from pinpoint dots to broader drag-smear passages concentrate across both front panels and the lower left leg. The surface abrasion reads chemical rather than mechanical — no open tears, no fraying. Hardware is oxidized bronze: single shank button at fly, copper rivets at stress points. Stitching throughout in grey-toned thread, near-tonal against the fabric. Slim taper from hip to ankle hem. Waistband carries a clean black woven label, white text.
